PECAN EARRINGS

This pecan is made from a mold of an actual pecan. We molded a pecan handpicked by the owner of the Cane River Pecan Company in New Iberia, Louisiana. He sifted through countless pecans to find the perfect one for us to cast into metal.
Pecans have sustained humans throughout history. They were an easy-to-transport source of protein and fat for our ancestors.
They are a sentimental nut, enmeshed in many holiday and seasonal celebrations. We eat them in pies, on ice cream, or by the handfuls for as many reasons as there are ways to consume them!

Each earring measures approximately 7/8" tall by 1/2" wide and weighs 4.45 grams in bronze (about the same as one die). Each hangs from gold-filled or sterling silver ear wires. All our ear wires are nickel-free.
